2020 was a difficult year for many local companies including Kalamazoo's Tibbs Brewing Company, who made the announcement in September that they would be closing their doors for good. In that time the brewing companies' Facebook page has been silent, along with the owners personal accounts. Recently they made an announcement about what they've been doing in that time and where they plan to take their social media page:

Since we last spoke we have sold our home in Kalamazoo, along with the majority of our possessions, and moved into our 35’ travel trailer. Our house sold on December 14th, and we hit the road on December 19th. Since then we’ve traveled to Ohio, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa.

Is Tibbs Brewing Re-Opening?

Tibbs Brewing company will not be re-opening, and instead will be a completely new entity on social media as they continued to elaborate on the changes that have been happening in their lives:

So beginning Friday, June 4th our Tibbs Brewing Company social media accounts will change their names to Chasing Soulshine. We chose Chasing Soulshine, not only because Soulshine is one of my favorite songs, but because we are firm believers that true happiness only comes from within and it’s up to each person to find that happiness themselves.

What Will Chasing Soulshine Feature?

They acknowledged the page will no longer be the same and assured people that if they decided to continue following them, they will be sharing their experiences while traveling and showcasing some breweries, wineries, distilleries, bars and restaurants they discover along the way.
