While everything else in our world seems to be on hold for the foreseeable future, the Tuna Melt has made a surprise comeback. Is it nostalgia that makes us run back to that classic? Is is the convenience? Is the the comfort? Maybe it's all the above... and more.

Right now we're trying to make the most out of every grocery shopping trip. We've gone from stopping at the store a few times a week to grab odds and ends to complete a meal to making a single trip last nearly two weeks. To do that, it means buying ingredients that will last a long time in the cupboard and the fridge. Canned tuna is one of the most versatile staples in your cupboard. From cold salads, to stuffed tomatoes, it can make one delicious meal, including the American Classic, the Tuna Melt.

For those of you who haven't had a Tuna Melt, you're missing out. It's tuna, mayo, onion, cheese, and bread (usually a thicker sliced bread, like sourdough) grilled just like a grilled cheese. For those of you who have no interest dirtying a dish, I did a little digging to find who has the best Tuna Melt in Kalamazoo:
