Going to the symphony may never be the same

Hot on the heels of the hit movie 'Bohemian Rhapsody' the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) will be performing the hits of Queen.

Mlive reported that the DSO stated...

The orchestra will be joined by a full rock band and will feature the voice of Brody Dolyniuk, who is known for delivering strong vocals singing Queen songs. "When he came out to audition, he not only knew the music, but he had clearly listened to every aspect of Freddie’s performances. His inflections were spot-on and even the wailing rock sound had that Freddie resonance. Clearly, there will never be another Freddie Mercury but close your eyes and listen to Brody and you’re going to get something very close.”

The show will be  Meadow Brook Amphitheatre on the campus of Oakland University on Sunday, July 14. Tickets (starting at $29.50 and four-packs at $90 on the lawn) go on sale Friday, March 15 at 10 a.m.

My Mother and I went and attempted to see this performance about a year and a half ago but the singer was ill and only performed 3 songs. Yet, I gotta say those 3 songs were incredible. I am looking forward to seeing the whole show this summer!
