    November 8 Election

    The Presidential Election wasn't the only election with a surprising result! Several elections in Calhoun County were lost by the incumbents, while other races were a bit less close.

    This tragedy stung especially hard, coming such a short time after the shooting spree in February. It drew reactions and condolences from across the country, including Lance Armstrong.

    Shooting Of Officer Collin Rose

    This tragedy happened in Detroit, but affected us here in Southwest Michigan.  Rose was a native of Richland, and the community has come together to honor his memory. As of the 22nd of December, his killer has not been found.
