Historic events don't always happen hundreds of years ago. Sometimes it's just a few short years ago.

Bell's Eccentric Cafe, now (Google Street View)
posted this photo on social media today, commemorating the day in 1985 that Bell's became, well, Bell's. Actually,
according to Bell's website, September 19th, 1985 is when Larry Bell sold his first commercial beer.

Since then, a lot of Solsun, (the original name for Oberon), Two-Hearted and now, so many more beers have been consumed by locals, then Michiganders, and now all over the country.

With the shakeout currently happening in the Michigan craft beer industry, it's good to know this is our beer. And Larry Bell can properly take a seat with the Adolphus Buschs and Peter Strohs of the world. Here's to another 34 years.
