In a shocking announcement made last evening on their Facebook page, Kalamazoo's staple Rupert's Brew House has announced they plan on transitioning into a Marijuana Micro-buisiness and will cease brewing beer once their license has been approved. The statement reads:

Rupert’s Brew House will be actively seeking licensing to transition into a MARIJUANA MICROBUSINESS and CONSUMPTION LOUNGE. This will allow us to grow 150 plants, process, and sell recreational marijuana all on site. We will continue to brew beer until the license has been approved. MLCC will begin accepting applications on Nov 1st which means, come get some great beer while u can. When we run out, it’s gone. We hope to continue the great legacy of Oakland Pharmacy, and Boogie Records in giving the community a place where good friends meet. The Cooperative has taught us that the next step for us is embracing Cannabis Culture for the long haul. We appreciate everyone that has shared a brew with us and supported us in the last 6 years. Time for the next adventure. Anyone interested in investment opportunity please message us here and we can talk over a beer. Cheers.
