"We will show her through our tears and frustrations at times, that it is okay to cry, and it's ok to feel. That we will always be a safe place, and we will always come to her."

Dayna Mager, a Michigan photographer, shared a picture that her husband had taken of her, laying with her daughter in her crib. And the reason why is heartbreaking, but beautiful.

Dayna says that she heard a missionary speak about a trip to Uganda where he visited an orphanage....and all he could hear was silence. Obviously, this was surprising, considering that there were over a hundred babies inside the orphanage. The missionary asked why the babies were so quiet, and the answer will break your heart:

"After about a week of them being here, and crying out for countless hours, they eventually stop when they realize no one is coming for them..."

Dayna was so moved by this that she made a promise to herself and her daughter, and she shared it on Facebook.

"Her first hurt, her first heartbreak, we will come to her. We will be there to hold her, to let her feel, to make decisions on her own, and we will be there. We will show her through our tears and frustrations at times, that it is okay to cry, and it's ok to feel. That we will always be a safe place, and we will always come to her."

As a mom, it definitely gives me something to think about. Is somebody cutting onions in here, or is it just me? *tear*
