This is not a time to kid about the sure things in life, as so many things we take for granted right now are shaky, at best. But getting a release announcing a road construction project in the city of Kalamazoo brings with is a certain small sense of reassurance that life is going on, and one day we get back to normal, whatever that may be.

The project itself is Portage Road and Cork Street. That intersection will be resurfaced as part of a water main replacement project. The work starts Monday (April 20th)  and is going to take about five to six weeks, and traffic will be down to one line. With the lack of traffic these days, the effect on us will be minimal, but, the positive is that is a small sign of normalcy.
