Ohio Man Demands Cash from Gas Station Clerk with a Sword
Police are looking for a sword carrying criminal in Columbus, Ohio today.
Late night gas station robberies are nothing new. However, every once in a while criminal will surprise us with an unusual weapon. For example, there's the guy that recently robbed a bank in Columbus, Ohio with a box of dog treats. OK, he claimed there was a bomb in the dog treat box. But, that had to be the first time that's happened, right?
Last Thursday at about 12:30 A.M. an unknown male entered the Speedway gas station on East Broad Street in Columbus. He wasn't there to cash his Speedway points in for a fountain drink. He was there to get money. That must be why the suspect came into the gas station with a sword.
After the report yesterday of the two guys that got beat up by a wedding party after crashing a wedding in Ohio. I made the joke that it was a terrible new sequel to the movie 'Wedding Crashers.' Along that same theme, this could be a very boring sequel to either 2003 Tom Cruise hit 'The Last Samurai' or the 1998 action thriller 'Blade.'
Either way, the suspect is still on the loose. The police don't have much to go on to identify the man except for the graining pictures from the Speedway security camera seen in the tweet from the Columbus Police Department.
The Columbus Police Department asks anyone with information on this case to call them at 614-645-4665 or call the Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS.
