Polar vortex, winter storm watch, winter storm warning, blizzard, whiteout, subzero temperatures, IT DOESN'T MATTER.

Michiganders will wear these things. And dare you to look at us like we're crazy.

Sandals or flip flops. Snowing? Doesn't matter. And it's a split decision if we're wearing socks or no socks. In the snow. You might see it as us begging for pneumonia. We're just on our way to Speedway and back. Don't mind us.

Second...

Travelling from winter to summer. Young cute guy in sunglasses, flip-flops, t-shirt and shorts with a tourist suitcase goes through the winter forest in the snow. Lets go to vacation. Creative idea.

Shorts. In the winter. Outside. Snow or no snow. And for fun, we might just (and probably most definitely will) pair them with the aforementioned sandals/flip flops & socks/no socks. Cold? What cold?

I see this at Meijer all the time. I don't think the rest of the world is ready for all this winter ambivalence. Pajama bottoms, sandals, and socks. Together. And with this 3 piece, you know there are endless variations Socks or no socks on the sandals with the pj bottoms. Sandals or flip flops. Socks or no socks on the flip flops.

So all you pretty much need for you Michigan winter wardrobe are:

Shorts

Socks (or not)

PJ bottoms

Flip Flps

Sandals

And someone suggested a Crocs option. And I don't know if we're ready for all that brand name recognition with our winter laziness. But, we'll consider it.
