Michigan Woman Flips Car To Avoid Hitting A Squirrel

Check out these pictures of an 82-year-old Traverse City woman's after this unimaginable accident.

Sunday night a senior citizen and a true lover of the animal kingdom hit a parked car which caused her vehicle to flip onto its roof after swerving to avoid an adorable little squirrel.

It's easy to pass judgement on this story and say that maybe she's too old to drive.  However, I must confess.  I would probably flip my car to avoid running over a squirrel too.  I love animals.  Don't judge me.  (Wait, does my insurance company read my stories?)

So, how is this elderly lover of animals doing after the accident?  She's doing just fine according to UpNorthLive,

The woman refused to be taken to Munson Medical Center, authorities said, but she was evaluated by members of the Traverse City Fire Department who determined she only had minor scrapes and bruises.

The story goes on to say she was given a citation by the local police for "driving without due care and caution."  No word on if the squirrel got his/her nut.
