I don't think anyone truly enjoys cleaning snow off their car. As a matter of fact, I hate doing it but in the state of Michigan, it's illegal to pull out of your driveway with your vehicle covered in snow?

Obviously, it can be very dangerous to other drivers on the road. Imagine driving behind someone who has 6 inches of snow and ice piled on their roof and all of a sudden it flies up into the air and then slams down on your windshield. That's definitely a recipe for disaster.

It's the people that don't clean their windows off that drive me nuts. Earlier this morning while I was taking my son to school, some toolbag pulled out right in front of me because his windows were totally covered. There was no way that guy even saw me coming. Luckily I had enough time to hit the brakes and avoid an accident but it was a good reminder of the importance of clearing snow off your vehicle.

Michigan is one of 12 states where it's illegal and you can be fined for distracted driving.
