A new market will be moving into downtown Kalamazoo and expand into the vacated Bigby across the street, which closed down in Novemeber at 121 E. Michigan Ave. The market, which identifies itself as an urban micro-grocery, is called MoMA (Market on Michigan Avenue) and will feature a wide variety of fresh and dry goods, a deli, a beer and wine section and basic household necessities, according to MLive. Their products will also include locally sourced and farmed produce and meats, all which will be available at 119 E. Michigan Ave.

Co-owner Josh Marunde said that he hopes to have to store open as early as March 1st. Currently him and his wife Jess are also the owners of the gym, Kalamazoo Strength and Conditioning: CrossFit 269. Apparently the lack of downtown grocery options is what inspired Marunde, his wife Jess and his friend Zach King to open MoMa together. We will have to check this place out when it opens in the Spring.
