Ludington Ice Cream Shop Succeeds in World Record Attempt
House of Flavors in Ludington is now a Guinness Book record holder for World's Largest Ice Cream Sundae.
Ludington Daily News reports the Guinness Book of World Records officials have confirmed this Summer's attempt to create and consume the World's Largest Ice Cream Sundae was a success.
The longest ice-cream dessert measures 905.48 m (2,970 ft 8.95 in) and was achieved by the House of Flavors (USA) in Ludington, Michigan, USA, on 11 June 2016.
House of Flavors, a Ludington mainstay since 1948- famous for their hand-dipped ice cream, constructed a sundae measuring a bit over 2,970 feet in length covering 8 city blocks of the Lake Michigan town.
Enjoy your just desserts, Ludington, because MLive reports Moo-ville Creamery in Nashville may have already beaten that in a September attempt measuring over 3,500 feet. Until Guinness makes it official, Ludington is a World Record holder.
