Former Detroit Piston Arrested On DUI Charges
Dennis Rodman is spending time in rehab, but soon will be facing time in jail.
TMZ claims Dennis Rodman was officially charged with a DUI yesterday stemming from his January 13th arrest in Newport Beach. His blood alcohol level was .21. That would be 2.5 times the legal limit. Cops decided to pull the vehicle over because it was swerving and, excessively loud music coming from the car.
TMZ reported that Rodman was cooperative and submitted to a breathalyzer test, that landed the basketball star in jail.
Rodman remained in jail for 7 hours, and when police determined he was sober enough to care for himself he was released.
Dennis is currently in rehab and may be facing jail time because he was on probation at the time of his arrest. Rodman has expressed to friends and family that this time around he is taking his sobriety seriously and wants to concur his addition.
This is Rodman's 2nd arrest for a DUI, the first one happened back in 1999. Yet before all his scraps with the law, he was a small forward for the Detroit Pistons and an incredible ball player. According to Wikipidi.com
From the beginning of his career, Rodman was known for his defensive hustle, which was later accompanied by his rebounding prowess. In Detroit, he was mainly played as a small forward, and his usual assignment was to neutralize the opponent's best player; Rodman was so versatile that he could guard centers, forwards, or guards equally well and won two NBA Defensive Player of the Year Awards. From 1991 on, he established himself as one of the best rebounders of all time, averaging at least 15 rebounds per game in six of the next seven years
My hope is that this great athlete can get his life back on track.
