BREAKING: Mattawan Consolidated Schools On Lock Down

An incident that took place on I-94 within the last hour has caused local police to mandate a lockdown for Mattawan Consolidated Schools.

According to a woman who responded to inquires about the situation on Facebook, said she was on the highway and witnessed the scene:

When I was on 94 heading east about a mile east of the exit there were three police officers on foot and it appeared they were looking for someone in the woods that maybe fled a car...the car that was pulled over was empty!

UPDATE: The suspect was last seen running on the track towards Kalamazoo, Mattawan Consolidated Schools will remain on lockdown as a precaution.
