Two Of Four Accused In Disturbing Child Porn Plot To Face Judge
Two of the suspects involved in an alleged child pornography ring in Branch County have been charged. The other two are expected to face a judge today in Coldwater, according to WWMT. The suspects, David Bailey, Matthew Toole, Talia Furman and Jayme LaPointe, are all accused of planning a variety of heinous crimes against a child. The plot was foiled by police before any of the crimes were committed.
Three of the four arrested in connection with this case were already in jail on separate charges related to child porn. According to a felony complaint, the four plotted to kidnap a child from a local county fair, tie them up, torture, and eventually murder that child before disposing of the body. Furman and Toole have been in the Branch County Jail since their arrest in August on another child porn case. They are scheduled to appear next in Calhoun County court.
