Beware of This Possible Kalamazoo Craigslist Scam

Buyer Beware: Watch out for this Kalamazoo Craigslist ad.

Just after 10 PM last night (Monday, October 5th) this ad was posted on Kalamazoo Craigslist attempting to sell a home.  The ad was titled "House for Sale - $1 (Kalamazoo.)  The only info on this house was, "Looking to sell fast. As is. Cash buyers only please. Contact via email."  I saw a couple of red flags immediately.

#1 There are only 4 photos.  Not to mention the photos are VERY small.

#2 No address is listed.  Nor is there any information about the home at all.

#3 The sense of urgency with the line "Looking to sell fast" doesn't go well with an ad that contains no information on the home that's for sale.

I decided to reverse google one of the pictures of this alleged Kalamazoo house for sale and found something interesting.

This home was listed 5 days ago for sale in Ellington, CT.  The exact address is 1 Abbott Rd #171.  If the ad hasn't been flagged and pulled down from Craigslist you can see that the supposed Kalamazoo home is exactly the same as the home in Connecticut down to the house number.

I've responded to the Craigslist ad to get more info on this "cash only" home for sale.  We haven't received a response at the time this article was published.  We will update this story when and if we hear back from the Craigslist poster.
