Happy birthday to this Indiana woman who has lived thru World War 2 and beat cancer and the Coronavirus.

I think we can all agree that woman are much stronger than men in almost every way.  Leora Martin from the tiny Indiana town of Elkhart is a great example of that.  Leora just celebrated her 100th birthday on June 13th, 2020.  In April she was diagnosed with Covid-19 and found out that she beat the virus a week before her birthday.  That by itself is a show of amazing strength.  Apparently, that's not the half of it.  Martin also battled her way out of a nasty case of pneumonia last year.  Oh yeah, then there's the cancer she beat.

According to Fox 5 New York, Leora celebrated her 100th birthday on a zoom call with her twin sister who lives in California.  Click here to see pictures of this adorable lady on her big day.

The elderly community are at the highest risk of death after contracting Covid-19.  It's great to hear about people like Loera making a full recovery and celebrating her 100th birthday.  Last week we brought you the tear jerking story of an Indiana couple that were forced apart for a month due to Covid-19.  That was the first time they had been apart for more than a couple days in their 67 year marriage.  Click here to read that story.
