#ThrowbackThursday! KFR Celebrates New Year’s At Bourbon Street

Doing a little housekeeping and came across a pile of pictures. The one posted here is probably New Year's Eve 1997 going into 1998.

The party was at Bourbon Street, downtown at 123 South St., home of the "Bayou Boogie" Legend has it the drink was created by legendary bartender Mark Anderson. Through the 90's, Bourbon Street was the most popular bar in downtown Kalamazoo. There's a charter school there now.

The KFR personalities are are night jock Craig Russell. late night jock Ron Brand, weekender Terry Cruise, and mid-day jock Mark Anderson (not the bartender).

Where are they now? Craig hosts mornings in the Lansing-Jackson area. Ron works in medicine in Grand Rapids. Terry manages computer networks in Texas. Mark manages radio stations for a major broadcast group.
