For those of you who are an active part in the local music scene, you know about Kalamazoo's only, and in those regards, best "Ska" band, The Mushmen. They recently decided to take some time to continue writing more music and planned on putting an album out this year or early 2020. Those plans have been put on a halt as Mushmen front-man Scottie Rouse was seriously injured in a car accident late Monday night. The band released a statement on their Facebook page:

Hey friends! We are all concerned about the health of our front-man and founder Scottie right now. After a collision last night he has a broken collarbone, 4 broken ribs and a collapsed lung. Please feel free to reach out with love and support. Needless to say the band is on the back-burner at the moment while we do our best to support the Rouse family. We appreciate all of you very much.

His wife, AJ, stated on Facebook that he will be in the hospital a few more days and will probably be getting surgery on his collar bone. Their car was also totaled in the accident so anyone who may be able to help them out can reach out. All of our love and support is with the Mushmen and the Rouse family.
