The Michigan Army National Guard (MIARNG) is recruiting for various positions, ranging from infantry to Information technology. It's an amazing opportunity to learn job skills and earn benefits that will help you for the rest of your life while serving in your community. In fact, the MIARNG's motto is “Live Here, Serve Here.”

Many positions offer sign on bonuses as well as state and federal education benefits. The MIARNG offers a 401k style retirement plan and affordable health/dental/life insurance, as well as paid job training that can utilized in the civilian job market. The MIARNG even offers credit for qualified civilian experience, meaning you can come in at a higher pay grade and advance through training at a quicker pace.

All your benefits are determined through your enlisting contract, which commits you to three or six years of service, according to MIARNG's website. During that time, you will spend at least one weekend a month and two weeks a year training, although National Guard members can be called to serve at home and overseas as needed.
