Have you ever heard of the Mandela effect? It's an unusual phenomenon where a large group of people remember something differently than how it occurred. Conspiracy theorists believe this is proof of an alternate universe, while many doctors use it as an illustration of how imperfect memory can be sometimes. Or how about the Simpsons theory? That the show has accurately predicted the Trump presidency, the discovery of the Higgs boson particle, 9/11, Disney’s takeover of Fox and, most recently, the storming of the capital.

Well I think something like that may have happened involving my Pink & The Brain Bookends. They were made by WB in 1996 and it shows Brain pushing Pinky through a time portal, but when Pink comes out the other side, we see what year it is and the expression on his face:

Did the people who made the bookends somehow know how bad things were gonna be last year? It's almost as if what he's seeing happening in 2020 is leaving him in utter shock. The only thing I can think of is he's seeing what was supposed to be technological advances and instead was met with the gruesome reality of our year. One thing is for sure, I'm pretty sure our feelings on 2020 are perfectly represented on Pinky's expression.

The one thing we can hope for is that The Simpsons predict some kind of positive event soon because I'm sick of not being able to go to dinner or see my friends. Until then, stay healthy and keep looking to the cartoons.
