Four Ottawa County teens had a day they not soon forget
The young adults were supposed to be in school, instead they had a different learning experience. The four teens are suspected of...
- Burglarizing a cellphone store
- Cashed a stolen car while fleeing police
- One fled in an unmarked patrol car
- Others led police on foot chases

Authorities were tracking the vehicle when an Ottawa County sheriff’s deputy spotted it around 7:50 a.m. That is when the chase started and lasted until a tight right turn and the drive crashed into a utility pole. It was then that one teen stole unmarked patrol car and the others fled on foot.

The suspects – Grand Rapids residents, ages 14 to 17 – were eventually arrested Tuesday, Aug. 27. Police say they could be tied to other cellphone store break-ins.
Luckily only one of the teens was injured during the chase, they suffered minor injuries in the crash.
I fear they are going to get more then detention for this mess.
