If you've ever wanted to get in your Halloween Costume and compete against yourself in a competitive run, this Saturday has just the thing for you. The first ever Michigan Monster Dash is set to kick off at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at Kensington Metropark, 4570 Huron River Pkwy, Milford. The race begins in the Possum Hollow area and loops around Kent Lake. Whether you're a professional sprinter or beginner, the Michigan Monster Dash has you covered, as participants of all ages can take part in the 1K Kids Dash, 5K, 10K or half marathon.

The event is sanctioned by the Road Runners Club of America. Finish Line Runs, LLC will be hosting the race, as the money raised from the event will go towards the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan. According to Oakland Press, the Kids Dash will include trick-or-treat stations and a costume contest with prizes. You can register for the Michigan Monster Dash and donate here.
