Michigan Girl Allegedly Stabbed By A Pin After Biting Into Pastry

A young Dearborn girl says she was stabbed by a sharp pin after biting into a Kroger pastry.

A Michigan father had the shock of his life after giving his daughter a pastry he purchased from Kroger on September 5th according to WXYZ,

Ricardo Ruel says Kroger has reached out to them and told them they are going to investigate and determine how and why this happened.

“She took a pastry out of her mouth and I looked down and there was a needle there,” said Ruel.

After the Ruel "freaked out" a bit he contacted Kroger.  Kroger explained to him that the pastries are made somewhere else and they are baked at the local Kroger.  They assured him they were looking into the matter.

Kroger tells WXYZ that they are in fact investigating the issue,

We are currently investigating and have been in contact with the consumer. We take matters like this very seriously as safety is one of our core values for both customers and associates.

The little girl has gone to the doctor to be tested.  The little girl's parents have also hired an attorney.
