Kalamazoo Growlers Season Comes To An End With Division Game Loss
It certainly has been a record breaking season for the Kalamazoo Growlers Baseball team: Longest Winning Streak (11 Games), Most Wins In Season (41), First Time Hosting The All Star Game, First Playoff Appereance, First Playoff Win, and the addition of the new Eaton Video Board have made for a thrilling season. That season, sadly, came to an end last night as the Kalamazoo Growlers dropped a heartbreaker to the Fond Du Lac Dock Spiders in the Divisional Championship, 3-1.
This year I had the privilage of running music and sound effects for the Kalamazoo Growlers Baseball team. Being able to work with people who are so knowlegable in the sport and being up in the press box all season talking baseball is something I wouldn't trade for anything. It was a thrilling season and I hope the Growlers can carry this momentum into next season. Much love to Brian Colopy and Euan Simpson and the whole behind the scenes crew for such a wonderful job this year. Tip of the hat to the broadcast team as well, Lukas Moore & Brian McLaughlin.
With the Deluth Huskies' 17-7 victory over the Willmar Stingers last night, the Huskies will do battle with the Dock Spiders in a best of 3 series starting tonight to determain who the Northwoods League World Series Champs will be.
