A couple married on the 4th of July in Kalamazoo chose to honor Donald Trump during their big day.

The bride, Audra Johnson, wore a white dress that said "Make America Great Again" in large red letters.  The groom, Jeff Johnson, wore his military blues.  Then there's the wedding party all wearing MAGA hats.

Audra told Fox 17 in the video below that it was important to show people that the stereotype of Trump supporters being racist isn't true.  Jeff is African American and Audra is Filipino.

Clearly the country is divided when it comes to Trump.  The bride didn't want that to stand in the way of everyone attending according to Fox 17,

Despite the theme, Johnson said all were welcome. This includes her lifelong friend and maid of honor, who is also a Democrat.

“We were gonna do our photos with the Trump hats and she said, ‘You know I love you, but I can’t wear the Trump hat,'" Johnson said. "I said, ‘It’s OK. It’s OK. Just wear a red hat. We still love you. We can have completely different opinions about everything and still love each other.”

This is an unusual move since Donald Trump has been accused of being racist himself.  In fact, the couple shared a text from the groom's father with Fox 17,

As long as you support that racist in the White House, I won’t be attending your wedding.

What do you think?  Would you go to a friend or family member's Trump themed wedding?  What about an Obama themed wedding?
