Before you know it, Spring will officially be upon Michigan (although, it's felt a lot like it through most of the winter already). But with spring, comes the busy season in Holland, Michigan.

Tulip Time has officially announced its intentions for this year's festivities, and it includes a new event, plus some more familiar ones.

This year, the annual blooming event will take place May 4-12, and will be its 95th year, with the theme being "Bikes & Blooms."

Tulip Time is when Holland celebrates the blooming Tulips, their Dutch Heritage, and the Holland community.

"Throughout the last 94 years, millions of people have gathered to enjoy Tulip Time in Holland, Michigan. The festival is an eight-day experience like none other with over six million tulips blooming throughout the city and area attractions. Tulip Time has been heralded as the nation's Best Flower Festival, America's Best Small Town Festival, and even the 2017-18 Tulip Festival of the Year!"

Throughout the eight-day celebration, the town will host walking tours through the Tulip Gardens, dockside tours, and a carnival that will run throughout. They'll also host markets and dutch dance lessons.

NEW this year, is a "Pedals in the Park" event, which will invite families to ride their bikes through the blooms, and ride through Kollen Park. There will also be a helmet decorating event, a photo booth, and design competition. Prizes will be awarded for Most Outrageous, Most Creative, and the Most "Tulip Time" decorated.
