Here Are The 8 Non-Natural Wonders of Michigan
Michigan has so many unique attractions that we had to figure out what the eight wonders of Michigan are.
There are so many natural wonders that we could talk about, like Arch Rock on Mackinac Island or even the Pictured Rocks in the Upper Peninsula. But what about the best man-made wonders of Michigan?

There are so many unique roadside attractions and monuments that are a testament to the creativity that Michigan residents have that we had to pick eight of the coolest wonders that perfectly represent what we are all about.
Let’s start with the most impressive engineering achievement our state has ever produced:
The Mackinac Bridge is the world’s 29th longest bridge, and it’s the longest suspension bridge between Anchorage in the western hemisphere. What do you finally drive across it? You understand how impressive this iconic symbol is.
The Giant Uniroyal Tire was made by the US rubber company for the 1964 New York World Fair, where it was originally a Ferris wheel. Now it sits along I-94 in Allen Park and is always fun to glimpse as you make your way towards Detroit.
The Golden Corridor has been the butt of many jokes since it was built between Schoenherr and Hayes Road on M-59 in Utica, but now it’s a staple and will always be iconic because of its other nickname.
An iconic part of my childhood is no longer there, in the big buck giant beer bottle that sits in the parking lot. It was originally located off of I-75 in Auburn Hills, but back in 2016, it was sold. However, in Gaylord, Michigan, they have their own 45-foot-tall beer bottle that sits in their parking lot and is still an icon.
Da Yoopers Tourist Trap doesn’t contain just one man-made wonder, but the entire stop contains a massive chainsaw, called the Big Gus, and a bunch of other wild and wacky features that you just have to visit yourself to see how amazing it is.
"The Fist" is an iconic monument in Detroit that represents the city's grit. It’s a monument to Joe Lewis from Robert Graham, and it was a gift from Sports Illustrated magazine to the people of the city of Detroit to celebrate the Detroit Institute of Arts Centennial in 1985.
If we were going to pay love for the Uniroyal Tire, then we also have to recognize the world’s largest steering wheel, which, for obvious reasons, is a perfect representation of Michigan. You can see this fun roadside attraction in Onaway.
Finally, one of the coolest marvels of Michigan is our massive 38 foot tall uncle Sam statue in Ottawa Lake. The only other one of these is in Connecticut.
