They have been called the Harlem Globetrotters of the baseball world, and grown so big and popular, that their home field in Savannah, Georgia can no longer contain their showmanship.

As such, the Savannah Bananas have been touring the country now, for two years, and in 2025, that tour is coming to southwest Michigan.

For those who have followed the viral baseball sensations, the Savannah Bananas are credited with creating "Banana Ball" with their fearless leader, Jesse Cole, at the helm in his bright Banana-Yellow Tuxedo.

He's on the record as saying this was a project that he failed to launch a number of times, but it was through that failure, he's been able to build the Bananas to what they are today.

"We were making calls like everyone else. We were doing marketing like everyone else. And, we were getting results like everyone else... [Eventually, we looked] at what the rules of [the] industry are, and we went the opposite. Changed it. That's how you create some buzz and attention."

It worked, because the Savannah Bananas, who were founded in 2016 as part of the Coastal Plain League, have put together three league championships since their start, and have become a country-wide phenom that is now selling out some of the biggest MLB stadiums.

Banana Ball is Coming to Grand Rapids

As part of the 2025 tour, the Bananas just announced that their tour would indeed be hitting some of the biggest parks in the country AND three Football Stadiums.

But for our sake, we've got our eyes on June 12th of 2025, because that's when the Bananas will be in Grand Rapids at LMCU Ballpark. However, there is a catch.

The Bananas won't actually be playing on June 12th, as they'll be prepping to play at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati on June 13th and 14th. BUT, we will see their foes, the Party Animals, taking on the Firefighters.

But don't worry, the same Banana Shenanigans will be happening, with stunts, entertainment, and comedy. Get your tickets through the Banana Ball Website, and let's get ready to... Banana Baby!

Sorry, that joke's not for everyone, but I thought it was... a-PEEL-ing. *rimshot*
