It has been a long time since the Lions were in the championship game for the NFL. Well, it's been so long that they have never been to the championship game during the Super Bowl era. Their last trip to the big game was in 1957 when it was still the NFL Championship, they had never been to the Super Bowl. Now this doesn't seem like that big of a deal until you realize that it's been almost 67 years since then.

After making many smart moves within free agency and having a great draft the past couple of years, the Lions seem to be making their way back to the top of the ranks. Coach Dan Campbell has come in and reignited the passion and lit a fire under the Detroit Lions, bringing the super fans to their feet. Now that the Lions are ready to represent Michigan, are they ready to go to the biggest stage of them all?

Many faithful Lions fans have witnessed disappointment year after year and are ready for something to be excited about. Every year, they believe that the front office has done enough to bring them back to glory, this year they may be right. Normally NFL fans and analysts will tell them they're delusional but this year, there is a lot of support for this theory.

This year, it is believed by many outside of the Detroit Lions and their fans believe this team can achieve some things that haven't been done in a long time or ever for the Lions. They haven't been in a playoff game since 2016 and haven't won a playoff game since the 90s. According to these three celebrities, all of that is going to change this year.

As you can see above and below; Mark Wahlberg, Kevin James, and Chris Wediman have all come out and said the Lions will win the NFC and have a chance at raising the Lombardi Trophy. Wahlberg can be quoted saying "You know what? They have a great coach, and an amazing team, Jared Goff is due, and I'm excited to see what they do this year."

Do you agree with them? Do you think the Lions have a chance to hoist some hardware in the air and add a new banner to the beautiful Ford Field that they call home? Or do you think this year will turn out like every other year, disappointment?
