Yes, you read that right. The Lions are now what the Cubs were before the won a World Series for the first time in 108 years. Why?
This T-Shirt. This pretty much makes the Lions what the Cubs were.

There are other fandoms (or should that be fan-dumbs?) that have waited longer, but they're not around here and the Leos are.

Arizona Cardinals NFL 1947 (69 Years)
Cleveland Indians MLB 1948 (68 Years)
Sacramento Kings NBA 1951 (65 Years)
Detroit Lions NFL 1957 (59 Years)

Unless a miracle happens this year (don't hold your breath), it'll be 60 whole years. It's been so long that the NFL Network doesn't even show the 1957 NFL Championship game film. And they used to.

By the way, don't even try and pull that "long suffering" line on me. I grew up in Chicago. No, not a Cub fan, but the White Sox went through a 1917 to 2005 drought; The Hawks, 1961 to 2010, and those Arizona Cardinals atop the list above, those were the Chicago Cardinals in 1947, so I claim that drought as my own, since I'm a Sox fan and the Cardinals played at Comiskey Park.

The Chicago Cardinals of the NFL used to conduct their training camp at Coldwater High School in Coldwater, Michigan. Yes, that Coldwater. And their nickname is the Coldwater Cardinals.
