With times being what they are it seems like everyone is doing what they can to make ends meet. One place in particular in Holland, MI is taking another step in order to protect themselves financially while they continue to stay open during the pandemic. Goog’s Pub & Grub is now charging people who order food from their place a "$1 Covid Subcharge." Do you think that's an okay thing to do?

Personally, if it's me, I have no problem paying an extra dollar to make sure that a company, especially a homegrown company, stays afloat. But there may be some out there who may take exception to their new fee. But the main reason behind the charge is to keep up with the inflating prices of food as more and more items become harder to find and the prices for them go up.

Brad Palmer, Owner of Pub and Grub and his General Manager Palmer White both explained to Fox 17 that this situation was necessary in their eyes and that this ultimately needed to be done to protect their business:

Other places are just raising their price and not telling you. It’s going to be a while before the food industry, the suppliers catch up. If the industry’s prices are going to stay, it’s going to affect people down the road just as much as it is now. We’re not doing this to get rich. We just want to see our staff is taken care of, make sure people are fed, make sure our lights are on.
