I know we all have or have had fantasies of winning the lottery, telling off that boss you didn't like, storming out and escaping to an island somewhere far away. Okay, maybe I'm projecting based on my previous job experiences but, we all dream about never having to worry about money again, right? Well, thanks to a decision made on a whim, one Grand Rapids woman is living that dream

As reported by Wood TV News Channel 8, Kristen Kaminski, of Grand Rapids, said that she used to play Lucky For Life back in the day when it first started but hasn't played much since. Lucky For Life is a lottery game that awards players either $1,000 a day for life or $25,000 a year for life, at least according to their website.

Kaminski decided "out of the blue" to purchase a $2 Lucky For Life lotto ticket and wouldn't you know it...she won. She says she woke up in the middle of the night and checked her email only to discover that she had won the $1,000 a day for life.

Putting aside my superficial jealousy, I can't help but laugh at this part of her story. Kaminski said that she tried to wake her husband to share the good news but he simply said, "that's nice dear," rolled back over, and went back to sleep. Leave it to a deep sleeper to brush off a life changing amount of money. 😂

With the option of either receiving $365,000 a year or a one-time $5.75 million payout, Kaminski went with the latter. She says they plan to pay off debts, start college funds for their kids, and save the rest for retirement.

However, Kaminski isn't the only winner announced this week. Another Michigander won $2 million after losing everything in a flood. Read his story below:

With all of this winning I may have to stop daydreaming and actually buy a ticket!
