This week our Michigan Small Town Series focus is on a town with a small population but a lot of local pride.

Mendon is a small town with fewer than 900 residents located on M-60 a little Southeast of Schoolcraft and a little Northeast of Three Rivers.  We put the question to facebook and twitter, "What's your favorite thing about Mendon."  We've compiles your responses to give you "5 Things Everyone From Mendon Knows"

Jody C had this to say in her 4-star Trip Advisor review,

they have sitting on the main level, or downstairs which is more intimate and quiet. Weather permitting they also have Sitting on a balcony that overlooks the st.joe river. My family wanted Mexican food, which I'm not entirely fond of but agreed to try it out. I got nachos, but had them customized because I didn't like all of the things they came with on the menu. The owner actually waited on us and was happy to make the nachos exactly the way I wanted. They also bring freshly made salsa and bean dip with warm chips to serve before your meal. Full bar. Nice people, good food, great service.

Thank you Kristy Summey Brooks, Heather Buikema Novak, Lindsey Young-Smith and Amy Ames-Graham for your suggestions on Facebook.
