1.  Funny costumes are better conversation starters than sexy costumes.  Funny costumes can be an instant icebreaker.  Plus hot girls in sexy costumes can be intimidating.

2.  Don't wear a costume that's too hot.  If you end up going home with someone, you don't want to be a sweaty, disgusting mess when you take off your costume.

3.  Don't wear something that's too big and bulky.  You should be able to fit in an Uber for the ride home.

4.  Don't wear face paint if you plan on making out.  Obviously, it gets everywhere.

5.  Group costumes aren't always good for flirting.  When women lock up in a pack it's almost impossible to get a conversation going with one of them.  Plus, if you get separated from your friends, your costume won't make sense without the group.
