2019 had it's ups and downs.  However, their are hundreds of happy new families with the help of the SPCA.

According to SPCAswmich.org their mission is simple,

The SPCA of Southwest Michigan is dedicated to working for the well-being of animals and creating an adoption-focused community in Southwest Michigan. Our goal is to end senseless animal euthanasia in SW Michigan, and provide all animals with a loving, caring home.

In 2019 the SPCA of Southwest Michigan was named "Best Practicing Shelter."  They also have the honor of receiving the "Largest No-Kill Shelter in Michigan" award for the second year in a row.

Because of the hard work of their staff and volunteers 582 cats and 715 dogs found their new forever families right here in Kalamazoo county.  Those are incredible numbers.

KIBBLE CONNECTION
No one likes to be hungry. The SPCA of Southwest Michigan partners with area food banks to help provide food for cats and dogs in need of assistance.

COLD NOSES WARM HEARTS
It gets darn cold in Michigan!
 Our Cold Noses Warm Hearts initiative helps outdoor pets stay warm! Help SPCA staff and volunteers as we coordinate food and build warm shelters for our furry friends!

CANNISTERS IN COMMUNITIES
Can you host a cannister at your business? Donor’s small change can add up to big change for our animals. Can you help?

MY SISTER’S HOUSE
Jointly sponsored by the YWCA of Kalamazoo, My Sister’s House supports pets in transition. We help at risk families by assisting with pet needs. For a successful new start, when families are settled, the shelter helps with treats, toys and food.
