A Zeeland adult store (with arguably the best name ever) recently received a cease and desist letter claiming the shop to be an illegal adult bookstore. Grimlock's Emporium for the Misbehaved Lady (told you) owner Patrick Cooper dismissed the order and remains open. He has since been threatened with police action. According to City Manager Tim Klunder businesses such as Cooper's are not allowed downtown, and any such establishment has been zoned for industrial locations only. The store has no inappropriate signage that causes concern, and merchandise cannot be seen from the street. Despite getting the cease and desist from authorities, Cooper says he has received positive feedback from the community and has no plans to move. A recent message on Grimlock's Facebook page states, quote, "We aren't going ANYWHERE. The store is still operational... Don't worry women of Zeeland, we're not abandoning you!"
