Live out your best wild west spaghetti western fantasies at this tiny, tucked away spot in northern Michigan.
If you can't make it out to Arizona to visit real ghost towns like Jerome or Tombstone, the next best thing is only a short drive away.

Coopersville USA
I know what you're thinking "I know where Coopersville is" but we're not talking about that Coopersville, Michigan. Located just 45 miles southwest of Gaylord, Michigan you'll encounter one of the most authentic western towns you've probably never heard of.
Located near Lewiston, Michigan you'll find the site with several outbuildings complete with brothel, a saloon, and plenty of images of John Wayne, of course. How did this all come to be? According to roadside attraction site Roadside America the town was created by Spike Cooper and Spike's good friend Duke:
Sources claim that after Duke passed away Spike continued adding on to and maintaining the property as a tribute. Sadly, we've gotten word Spike passed away in 2020 and nearby residents say the duty of maintaining Coopersville has fallen to Spike's son.
It's a small low-key operation so don't expect too many frills when you stop and visit. While admission is free donations are encouraged to help maintain the property. Find out more on Coopersville USA below:
