Portage Gets Pelted With Over 13 Inches of Rain Per Hour

Thunderstorms are hitting the Kalamazoo area hot and heavy.  The intensity is shocking.

The heavy rain and thunderstorms will likely continue until about Noon to give us cloudy skies.  However, storms are expected to start back up around 7 PM this evening.

This morning WWMT Channel 3's Jeff Porter tweeted this shocking stat.

Kalamazoo County is currently under a Flood Watch until 8 AM Tuesday, May 15th.
