VIDEOS: Massive Floods Have Devastated Parts Of Upper Peninsula
After the devastating thunderstorms that rocked the upper peninsula of Michigan Saturday night, flash flooding, massive washouts and sink holes, and large scale destruction have swept through the cities of Chassell, Houghton, Ripley, Lake Linden, Hubbell, among many others as well. So far over 60 sinkholes and washouts are reported which has local residents stunned as a catastrophe of this scale has never been seen in the area. Entire roads have been decimated and washed away.
According to TV6 reported the large amount of damage that has already been sited, along with the countless amounts of video footage that can be seen on Facebook. This one was taken just yesterday which shows a semi- truck driving through the flood with the water coming all the way up to its headlights:
This video shot by a woman in Lake Linden is unbelievable, as she describes: "This is currently the road going down to my house. As you can see, it no longer exists.":
Our hope is that nobody is seriously hurt and the damage that these cities have received can be recovered from.
