Kalamazoo State Theatre Reschedules ‘The Big Lebowski’ Screening

Citing "corporate and social responsibility," Kalamazoo State Theatre has pushed back an in-person showing of 'The Big Lebowski.' We've got the new date.

I want to say, "this aggression will not stand, man," but this is a very empathetic and commendable move by Kalamazoo State Theatre and event sponsor Herbology. The iconic venue was planning on resuming live in-person events with a screening of The Big Lebowski on April 17, but has now postponed the event until May 15.

From closely monitoring reports on COVID-19, we have learned that our regional numbers have increased to new highs. While we have excellent practices in place, the potential of contributing to the spread is too risky at this time. The Kalamazoo State Theatre and our presenting sponsor, Herbology, feel very strongly that we have a corporate social responsibility to not host in-person programming at this time.
