Slutty Vegan Brings Plant-based Burgers To Detroit’s Corktown
An Atlanta based plant-based Burger chain called Slutty Vegan has opened its first franchise in the Midwest in Detroit.
The restaurant, which will be opening in the Corktown neighborhood of Detroit at 1441 W. Elizabeth Street, first tested out the concept with a pop-up event in Allen Park back in February, and with the success it had they plan to open up sometime this fall.

Currently, they’re only four locations through Georgia Alabama in New York with an upcoming location in Washington DC. The raunchiness isn’t just in the name of the restaurant itself, but even some of the condiments and sides that they serve.
Things like slut sauce, slut dust, slutty fries, and hooker fries, grace the menu. It definitely isn’t a restaurant for those who are easily offended by words, but had a place like Hopcat heard about this restaurant, they probably would not have changed the name of their Crack fries. This restaurant definitely had them beat on the name.

Some people are excited about the expansion of ideas this restaurant has:
I like that vegan food is becoming more integrated within the black community. I ate there when I went to Atlanta and loved the vibe. I just wish they made their own burger patties instead of using Impossible Burger.
Others are getting a kick at people losing their minds over vegan eating options becoming more popular:
I’m amused by how fragile so many of the men in these comments are about a damn vegan restaurant. Dang, fellas. Show me on the doll where the plant based foods hurt you.
