We've often had our laughs at many local Craigslist 'Missed Connections' ads on the radio.  Thanks to Congress, those days are over.

If you click the Missed Connections tab at Craigslist.org here's what you'll get,

US Congress just passed HR 1865, "FOSTA", seeking to subject websites to criminal and civil liability when third parties (users) misuse online personals unlawfully.

Any tool or service can be misused. We can't take such risk without jeopardizing all our other services, so we are regretfully taking craigslist personals offline. Hopefully we can bring them back some day.

To the millions of spouses, partners, and couples who met through craigslist, we wish you every happiness!

In fact, that's the message you'll get by clicking any of the 'personals' sections of craigslist.  Is this a good thing or a bad thing?  Let us know what you think in the Facebook comments.

(UPDATE) Not all of the personals have "returned" to craigslist.  However, you can still find Missed Connections under the Community tab at the top of the page.
