Saturday around 2 p.m. a woman was jogging around MN Avenue and 31st Street in Comstock Township when a black car pulled up behind her. The victim says she was approached by a man between the ages of 25-30 but was able to fend him off by using her pepper spray, just before the suspects fled the scene.

There was also a woman of the same age frame reported to have been in the vehicle. Luckily the victim was not injured, but this incident has other local joggers surprised. Ken Watts, a resident of that area stated that he was surprised something like that would happen in such a quite part of town:

It's so peaceful and nice. I'm mostly worried about cars hitting me, not attacking me. I don't normally carry pepper spray, but maybe I'll start carrying something else, too.”

The victim described the car to be a 2007-model sedan with a rear spoiler and white markings on the bumper. The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information to contact them.
