Are You Ready for Wing Heaven, Kalamazoo?

A new restaurant is coming to S. Westnedge in Portage. Freshly prepared fried chicken, wings and fish are on the menu at Wing Heaven, opening soon.

The chicken game is big business in fast food. Chic-fil-A rules the roost and is now the third biggest restaurant chain in the U.S. Popeye's is popular, people swear by Church's and Wendy's has 17 sandwiches on the menu right now. Wing Heaven is the newest name in chicken coming to Kalamazoo/Portage.

Final construction is underway at 6005 S Westnedge in the space formerly occupied by Schlotsky's at the intersection of S. Westnedge and Milham. The latest store joins 2 locations in the Grand Rapids area, one in Lansing and Benton Harbor, offering freshly prepared chicken, wings and fish. If the menu is like the others, you can choose from a number of sauces for wings, go boneless or choose a chicken sandwich. Perch, smelt, and catfish nuggets are the fish choices, with fries or nachos to complement the meal. Wash it down with your favorite flavor from the Kool-Aid station.
