The Detroit Institute of Art is playing host to everyone's favorite frog Kermit the Frog!

Here's some simple advice: Always be yourself. Never take yourself too seriously. And beware of advice from experts, pigs and members of Parliament.

Sweet words from the most famous Frog on the planet, Kermit the Frog. According to Mlive the ex of Miss Piggy will be spending time in Michigan.

The Detroit Institute of Art (DIA) is playing host to the Muppet's most famous announcer, Kermit the Frog!!!

Jim Henson created the Kermit puppet that's coming to the DIA in 1969. It was in 1971 that Henson gave the puppet or should I say 'Muppet' to the DIA in 1971. It resembles the one from “The Muppet Show," which debuted in 1976. The only difference is that this one has a double crenellated collar. The collar’s intent was to make him seem more frog-like and to conceal the seam between his head and body.

To add to the excitement, Kermit will not be traveling alone. A famous puppet from the late 1940's, will be on display from Friday, January 17 through late March 2020 as well!  The original Howdy Doody will also be spending time in the mitten state!
