You know the old saying, "you can't win the lottery if you don't play." As it's turning out, a ton of people have already won one of Michigan's most promising lottery games, and this is exactly why I'm buying mine after work. The "Lucky For Life" game promises a "lifelong" cash prize for the winner and Michigan has just had its fifth winning of the month.

Two winners have claimed their prize recently with the Michigan Lottery Public Relations Division. The winning numbers for Monday were 11-15-32-33-40 and the tickets were sold in Clarkston and Ypsilanti. This marks the 5th time this month that a winner has claimed the grand prize. Those are some pretty good odds for Michigan players. As a winner of the game, you have two choices:

  • Annual payments for a minimum of 20 years or life, whichever is greater, or
  • A one-time lump sum cash prize of $390,00

The ticket costs $2 per play and Lucky For Life gives the player a chance to win prizes ranging from $3 to cash for a lifetime. In order to win the grand prize of $1,000 every day for life, the player must match all five winning numbers ranging from 1 to 48, plus one Lucky Ball ranging from 1 to 18.

If you match all five winning numbers, but not the Lucky Ball, you'll win $25,000 a year for life. Lucky For Life numbers are drawn every Monday and Thursday at 10:35 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at Lottery retailers across the state. The odds are in our favor for this one. So if you're playing, good luck!
