The Michigan Department of Transportation is starting two projects this week, each on a major Kalamazoo highway.

Set to begin Monday, M-DOT will being "constructing concrete emergency crash investigation sites along I-94. The westbound site will be at Mile Marker 82 while the eastbound site will be at Mile Marker 83, according to information on M-DOT's Facebook page. The work should take about a month and should be done by mid-May.

The second project involves making repairs and resurfacing the US 131 bridge over KL Ave. The one week project is supposed to be done mostly at night and on the weekend, and is expected to take one week.
